Harry Maguire guilty of assault and bribery as Man Utd star learns fate

Harry Maguire has seen his assault and bribery conviction upheld six years after he was arrested in Greece.

Maguire, 32, was involved in a bust-up with police on the Greek island of Mykonos in 2020. He was charged with non-serious assault, resisting arrest and attempted bribery, with his legal team working to clear his name for the past six years.

However, the England international has been found guilty on all three counts and handed a 15-month suspended sentence by a Greek court. According to Sky Sports, his legal team will appeal the guilty verdict.

The incident occurred when Maguire was enjoying a night out with his wife, Fern, sister Daisy, brother Joe and five others.
