Manchester United star Harry Maguire has been faced with a major distraction ahead of the Newcastle United clash.

According to [The Athletic](https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7086538/2026/03/04/harry-maguire-manchester-united-greece-assault-charge/), the former United skipper has been found guilty of non-serious assault and handed a suspended 15-month sentence in a retrial of his 2020 Mykonos case.

It is believed allegations against the Englishman were heard once again in the Greek court system on Wednesday, with “the retrial held at fifth time of asking following years of delays.”

At this point, his availability for United’s match against Newcastle at St James’ Park remain unaffected.
