Agent and club sources kill Tottenham transfer – Not even in top 5 on list

Juventus hold no interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to journalist Luca Momblano, via Blasting News. He insists that reports linking the Tottenham number one with a move to Juventus are wide of the mark.

Vicario appears determined to leave Tottenham this summer and return to his homeland in some capacity. Sport Witness have covered various reports from Italy about his desire to make the switch.

Inter Milan are the long-term admirers, with a move planned as they eye up replacements for Yann Sommer this season. Reports at the end of last month then brought Juventus into the mix.

Double sources deny Tottenham claims

They are also eyeing up a new number one in the summer. As a result, they have reportedly already made contact about a move. The Tottenham goalkeeper is reportedly on their list alongside the likes of Alisson Becker.

That potentially gave the Tottenham number one another option to get back to Italy this summer. Momblano, though, insists that there is no such interest from Juventus. This, he reports, is something he’s even had confirmed by the player’s agents.

“I was very, very surprised by the article in a well-known newspaper published today,” he said on his Twitch shown Juventibus.

“Because from what I can read, it positions Vicario as a first-choice goalkeeper for Juventus, almost in pole position for next summer.

“I have completely contrary feedback. From what I understand, and I’ve had contact not only from Juventus but also from those who manage the goalkeeper’s profile, Juventus has never reached out for the current Tottenham goalkeeper.

“Furthermore, Vicario himself has never heard anything about a possible interest from the Old Lady. For all these reasons, I was surprised by what I read today. Not only do I not put Vicario in the top five goalkeepers being watched for June, but I also don’t even put him in the top seven.”

This may be a case of it quickly becoming clear a transfer was too difficult and everyone involved then denying anything ever happened.
