David Beckham shares shock at female fan who knows 'every word' to son Cruz's songs

David Beckham has revealed his amazement as he watched a female fan sing along to "every word" of his son Cruz's songs as he performed with his band in Manchester. The former footballer watched the gig from the sidelines at The Deaf Institute on Wednesday evening, in the city where his sporting career soared.

In a post on Instagram, David, 50, beamed as he posed backstage with Cruz Beckham and The Breakers, with his 21-year-old son and three fellow members all wearing personalised red Manchester United shirts. While Cruz's read 'Beckham', the other three members had 'Breakers' printed on the back.

Captioning the post, which received more than 120,000 'likes', David wrote: "I mean following the family traditions of playing in Manchester…so proud of you Cruzie & the breakers what an amazing night. Love you mate." It also included a clip of them performing on stage.

However, David couldn’t help but notice a rather enthusiastic fan in the audience. On his Instagram Story, he zoomed in on a blonde woman who was singing along to the lyrics. He wrote on the video: "I love this Cruz Beckham fan, every word to every song."

It seems that Cruz's mum Victoria, 51, missed the gig, which is part of a European tour that will next head to Southampton, Brighton, Paris and Amsterdam. This is likely to be because the fashion designer's Paris Fashion Week show is set to take place on Friday 6 March, and it is unclear whether the musician - who launched his band in January - will himself travel to the French capital to support her on the front row as usual before his next gig on 9 March.

Brooklyn birthday

David's support for his youngest son in Manchester came on Brooklyn's 27th birthday. His eldest child celebrated with his wife Nicola Peltz in LA, weeks after he insisted he didn’t want to "reconcile" with his parents, whom he accused of trying to "ruin" his relationship among other shocking claims.

Despite being physically apart, both David and Victoria decided to each post birthday tributes to their firstborn, from whom they were estranged for many months privately, before the feud went public in January. In a post on his Instagram Stories yesterday, the former sportsman shared two throwback photos of the birthday boy as a youngster.

Similarly, Victoria also shared two throwback photos. While her husband wrote "27 today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you x" as his birthday message, the former Spice Girl penned "Happy Birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much".

Brooklyn's brother Romeo, 23, also extended an olive branch with a throwback photo of his own showing the siblings together. What's more, even though he was busy up on stage, Cruz also made sure to share to Instagram a sweet snap of a young Brooklyn holding him as a baby.
