Sir Alex Ferguson record for Premier League Manager of the Month awards
Sir Alex Ferguson’s record for Premier League Manager of the Month awards is unlikely to be beaten.
The former United manager won the award a staggering 27 times – with the first coming in August 1993.
Ferguson last won the Premier League Manager of the Month award in October 2012, the same season he decided to retire from the dugout.
Carrick has a long way to go to match Ferguson’s record, but he would be making progress by winning it two months in a row.
