Man Utd will increase season ticket prices for the 2026/27 season and here is the reason why.

Manchester United have announced a 5 per cent rise in season ticket prices for the forthcoming 2026/27 season.

United claim the decision will help the club in their clear objective of returning to the top of domestic and European football and will allow them to keep investing in the team and facilities. It is also noted that the extra funds are required to make sure the club stays financially sustainable taking into account inflation and rising costs.

The season ticket price increases affect all areas of Old Trafford and equate to roughly £2 per game on average for an adult, and an additional £1 per game for those under 16. United also insist that season ticket holders will be protected when it comes to the cost of cup matches next season, with no match costing more than 1/19th of their total season ticket price.

Manchester United have announced their season ticket price increases for the 2026/27 season, along with a few notable changes.

The club have confirmed they will relocate a small number of general admission tickets in the Sir Bobby Charlton stand due to the installation of additional hospitality seats, which will bring in higher revenue. The club says these relocations are also required to undertake dugout works ahead of their next European campaign.

On the topic of European football, United have performed a U-Turn on the decision to stop ticket collections for European away games. That policy will be reintroduced for the next European campaign, while the club will also resume publishing ticket allocation and ballot data on the club website.

United scrapped the ticket collections for European matches as a direct result of job cuts back in 2024. It was a hugely unpopular decision among supporters, as the ticket collection system prevented fans from buying tickets to inflate their credits without actually attending the match. It means supporters attending European away matches will have to collect tickets from club staff using valid identification in the country where each match is played.
