Benjamin Sesko’s Manchester United career has really taken off in 2026, but one part of his game from RB Leipzig still eludes the Slovenian at Old Trafford.
The difference in Benjamin Sesko under Ruben Amorim compared to post his departure in January is truly night and day, with seven of his nine this campaign coming January onwards.
Sesko is on target to hit Rio Ferdinand’s pre-season target of between 10 and 15 goals, which is a very impressive return for his first year at Manchester United.
But even with the goals beginning to flow, Sesko has his eyes set on the next target.

Benjamin Sesko now wants to score a long-range goal for Manchester United
Sesko is coming into his own as a striker with a really impressive scoring record, but his ambition means this is only the beginning.
He has scored with his head, left foot, and right foot – next, Sesko wants to showcase his deadly shooting from range.
This is according to The Sun, which claims that word around Carrington is that Sesko is looking to score from outside the penalty area.

All of Sesko’s goals have come from inside the box. However, Sesko arrived with a reputation for scoring long-range goals similar to Cristiano Ronaldo in the past for United, beating goalkeepers with power.
Sesko’s long-shot technique is similar to Ronaldo’s goal against Arsenal in 2009, something that he will surely want to try and replicate one day.
For Sesko, his growing goal record will add to his confidence and probably result in him trying his luck from range more often.
Sesko’s long-range strikes could soon take the headlines if he is looking to utilise them, so look out for this against Villa next week.
How do you predict Benjamin Sesko’s career at Manchester United will go?

Sesko’s range of goals for Manchester United is the most impressive part of his game
When he arrived from RB Leipzig, there were warnings sent that Sesko would dominate the league, and it took a little period of settling in, but now we are seeing United’s striker establish himself.
Sesko has proven he can score scrappy goals, headed goals, counter-attacking with blistering pace, and has built an early catalogue of top-tier finishes.
All of his goals can be described as being ‘striker’s goals’ with his positioning and composure in front of goal rapidly improving with the guidance of Bruno Fernandes.
All that is left is a thunderous strike from range, and then he’ll have demonstrated every kind of goal for the club.
The next one he scores will be number 10, and it feels as though this will be a small percentage of the total he ends up with at the end of his career.
