Giggs has fronted an International Women's Day video for a betting site
Ryan Giggs sent a video message to "women everywhere" on International Women's Day as he fronted a promotional video for an Asian betting firm.
The former Manchester United and Wales footballer appears in the video for betting brand F168, which was shared online to mark the global event on Sunday. Celebrated on March 8 every year, International Women's Day commemorates women's fight for equality and liberation and the women's rights movement, giving focus to issues such as gender equality and violence against women.
In the clip, Giggs says: "Hello everyone, I'm Ryan Giggs, brand ambassador of F168. Happy Women's Day.
"Today, we celebrate the strength, beauty and achievements of women everywhere.
"To all the amazing women in our community, keep shining and inspiring us all," he continues, before adding: "Don't forget to have some fun and games at F168."
The former winger shared the video online with a caption that added: "Happy Women’s Day! Wishing all women confidence, beauty, and positive energy today and always.
"Celebrate this special day with F168 and make it truly memorable!"

Alongside his role as a brand ambassador for the betting site, Giggs has recently been touring social clubs and charging supporters £149 for 'intimate' meet and greet events.
He had been working as director of football at League Two side Salford City, but left the role in September amid reports he is ready to launch a comeback as a full-time manager.
The 52-year-old is reportedly looking to rebuild his career in the game, having stepped down as Wales manager in 2022. His resignation came after he had temporarily stepped aside from the role in the wake of his arrest on suspicion of assault - a charge he was later cleared of - in November 2020.
Giggs was initially arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault against his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville and her younger sister Emma, and stood trial in 2022. However, the jury failed to reach majority verdicts on the assault charges, as well as on a charge of controlling and coercive behaviour against Kate.
A retrial was then abandoned in 2023, with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) withdrawing the charges.
Welsh Women's Aid criticised the CPS' decision, saying they were "extremely disappointed" by the move.
While he was cleared, Giggs' reputation was damaged further, with the footballer admitting to being unfaithful in all of his previous relationships as a number of text messages were read out in court. As a result, he has since largely stayed out of the limelight.
