European giant on the trail of 25y/o Tottenham star, €30 million could convince Spurs to sell

Tottenham Hotspur defender Djed Spence is attracting interest from Juventus. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a fee of around €30 million could convince Spurs.

Tottenham have a great working relationship with Juventus, and the Italians could work that to land the England international.

Spence has bounced back from a poor start to life at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to become a key player for the North London outfit.

The 25-year-old played a key role as they went on to win the Europa League title last season.

He has also been a mainstay in the first team this season, consistently displaying his versatility by playing at left-back and right-back.

Juventus have been impressed by the Spurs ace, who has experience playing in Italy with Genoa. They are pondering a move.

Interestingly, Juve’s sporting director, Marco Ottolini, played a role in bringing him to Genoa as part of the Radu Dragusin deal.

Tottenham are in a very good negotiating position. He recently signed a new deal until 2029, and they can demand a healthy sum for his signature.

If Juventus are willing to part with around €30 million for Spence, Tottenham should seriously consider cashing in while his stock is high.

The funds could be reinvested smartly elsewhere in the squad. One intriguing option is Oscar Mingueza, whose contract with Celta Vigo expires this summer.

The former FC Barcelona defender has quietly impressed in La Liga, contributing one goal and three assists while proving his defensive reliability.

Mingueza has won 63% of his aerial duels and 54% of his ground duels, underlining his all-round defensive ability.

Crucially, he can operate on both flanks, offering the same tactical flexibility Spence provides.

Replacing a €30m asset with a versatile free agent would represent smart squad management from Spurs this summer.

They have other pressing areas where that money could be spent.
