Kai Rooney, the son of Manchester United and England legend Wayne, has signed with Triple S Sports Management.

The global sports agency is owned and run by Paul Stretford, who has been the senior Rooney's agent for the duration of his playing and coaching career.

The 16-year-old forward has been on the books at United since the age of 11, and has made five appearances for the under-18 side this season. He made his Old Trafford debut for the U18s in January in a FA Youth Cup game against Derby County.

Kai was on the scoresheet last week in the Premier League Under-18 Cup semifinal against West Ham United at Carrington, with minority owner Sir Jam Ratcliffe watching on.

"We're excited to begin working with the Manchester United forward as he continues his journey in the game. A bright future ahead," Triple S said in a post on social media.

The agency counts Harry Maguire, Niamh Charles and James Garner among its other clients.

He will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father, who spent 13-years at United and left the club as their record-goalscorer with 253 goals along with winning every major club honour.
