Man Utd are now looking at signing two players from Real Madrid this summer

Manchester United are set to revamp their midfield in the summer, with reports suggesting Real Madrid duo Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga are firmly on their radar.

It’s going to be an important summer for Manchester United’s squad rebuild because Casemiro has already announced his exit.

On top of that, there’s a strong chance the team will be competing in the Champions League, which brings extra funding to the transfer kitty.

Finding a player to fill Casemiro’s void will be a difficult task, while many United fans would argue that at least two midfield additions are required in the summer.

Man Utd keeping tabs on Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga

United signed Casemiro from Real Madrid in a deal worth £70 million in 2022, but they could return to the same club in a quest to find his replacement.

Casemiro won everything at Real Madrid before his transfer to United, where he has won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup. The aim this season is to get the Red Devils back into the Champions League before he competes in the 2026 World Cup with Brazil.

The Brazilian veteran will leave Old Trafford as a free agent at the end of the season, but now Flash Score claims Real Madrid duo Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni are among the names being considered as part of the club’s attempts to upgrade its midfield.

Respected journalist Andy Mitten suggested United were eyeing players in Spain, which will only add fuel to the story.

Despite being two top-class players at a good age, it is considered possible that one of Camavinga (23) or Tchouameni (26) could leave the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.

That, of course, may boil down to whether Real Madrid make a major signing in central midfield amid links to an array of Premier League options such as Enzo Fernandez, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szobaszlai, Rodri and Adam Wharton.

It is understood that United have been long-term admirers of both players, so they will monitor the situation to see if one of them becomes available when the transfer window opens.

Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga stats this season

Despite suggestions that Tchouameni and Camavinga could leave Real Madrid in the summer, both players have played a key role in the team this season.

Real Madrid may be four points behind Barcelona in the La Liga title race, after playing 27 matches, but they are still in contention to win silverware this season.

Tchouameni has made 37 appearances for Real Madrid this season, scoring two goals and registering one assist.

On the other hand, Camavinga has the same goals and assist record, but he has played seven games less, making 30 appearances thus far.
