Manchester United have been linked with a move to sign Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni this summer, and the club already has one ace card to convince him.
The shortlist of midfielders being looked at by Manchester United continues to grow ahead of a big summer transfer window. Most recently, United are reportedly considering midfielders in La Liga.
Following this, it has been reported that United are looking at Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga, two amazing midfielders who would level up the Red Devils’ side.
Both would be stellar signings, but United have a particular advantage in claiming one of the two, thanks to his admiration for a current Old Trafford star.

Aurelien Tchouameni idolises Casemiro
Speaking after joining Madrid in 2022, Tchouameni explained his admiration for Casemiro, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
“Casemiro has had an exceptional career. I followed him as a child, and he has inspired me a lot. I don’t know if I will be his successor; I want to write my own story. If I win five Champions Leagues, then I won’t have done badly.”
Tchouameni was effectively Casemiro’s replacement at Madrid, replacing the United-bound Brazilian, which strikes a similarity to this summer, should a deal also be pursued.

Casemiro has already announced his United exit, leaving for free this summer when his contract expires. So it would be a full circle moment if the Frenchman were signed as his replacement.
There would, however, be one major difference: Tchouameni would arrive ahead of his prime years, setting United up for years.

Casemiro’s farewell gift to Manchester United could be to convince Tchouameni
Casemiro is almost halfway through his farewell tour since the announcement, and has already tried to shape the future of the United midfielder.
Casemiro has suggested that Bruno Guimaraes be signed, a move that would massively upgrade United’s midfield. But if the club wants Tchouameni, then Casemiro could be key to convincing him.
Additionally, Raphael Varane has told Tchouameni before why he made the very same move, which is another positive that could help convince the French midfielder.
“Madrid is indescribable, it’s exceptional, but I’ve already experienced it. And I said to myself, I want to experience something else. For me, England, and Manchester in particular, is where you feel the passion for football; you feel it, you live it every day.
“Now that some time has passed, I have no regrets because it was an incredible experience.”
These comments should stick with Tchouameni, and combined with a Casemiro endorsement, could be enough to tempt him.
