Manchester United's constant links with potential transfers show little sign of diminishing despite the uncertainty over their head coaching situation.

Whilst Michael Carrick will guide the club through to the end of the season on an interim basis, a decision regarding who will occupy the dugout come summer won't be hurried.

That hasn't prevented speculation about who United might pursue at the end of the campaign to strengthen a squad that has impressed under the former England midfielder. Enhancements in the engine room are anticipated, with the likes of Adam Wharton, Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali reportedly on their radar.

Nevertheless, a club legend has called on the Premier League giants to prioritise signing an attacker, whilst Kai Rooney took the next step in his developing career. We examine the latest stories emerging from Old Trafford.

Already treading the same path as his father Wayne by representing United, Kai has gone one step further by joining Triple S Sports Management - the identical agency that represented Wayne, 40.

Operated by the United icon's long-standing agent Paul Stretford, the global firm once again has a Rooney amongst its clients as they took to Instagram to confirm the 16-year-old's arrival. The post read: "Delighted to announce the signing of @kairooney.10 to Triple S Sports!

"We're excited to begin working with the Manchester United forward as he continues his journey in the game. A bright future ahead. " The former England striker has previously discussed his son's footballing path and revealed he adopts a hands-off approach in one particular area.

Speaking to the BBC last year, Wayne explained: "He has great coaches at Manchester United, so I take a stand off approach. I speak to him, but for me it's all about his mentality and his mindset, to make sure he keeps enjoying it – that's the main thing for me."

The attacking department has been a source of worry at Old Trafford for several years, though Benjamin Sesko's recent performances may have eased some of those concerns. Nevertheless, the Slovenian's impressive goal-scoring streak this year hasn't prevented Patrice Evra from advocating for the signing of Real Madrid's Endrick.

The Brazilian endured limited opportunities in Spain during the opening half of the campaign and was loaned to Lyon in January, where he's flourished in Ligue 1. With five goals and four assists across 10 appearances in all competitions, the 19-year-old has rediscovered his finest form since arriving in Europe in 2024.

Speaking to Stake, the former United defender said: "If I could sign one striker for Man United I would choose Endrick - he would be a great signing. I've always loved watching Endrick, even when he was in Brazil. It was quite sad what happened at Real Madrid. He's killing it at Lyon. Lyon have a great history with bringing in Brazilian players and making them bounce back in their careers, like Juninho."
