Manchester United's transfer links shows no signs of slowing down, despite the uncertainty surrounding their head coaching role. Whilst Michael Carrick will steer the club until the season's end on a temporary basis, a decision regarding who will be at the helm come summer isn't being rushed.
This hasn't halted speculation about who the Red Devils might pursue at the end of the season to strengthen a squad that has been performing admirably under the ex-England midfielder. Improvements in the midfield are expected, with names like Adam Wharton, Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali reportedly on their radar.
However, a club legend has encouraged the Premier League titans to focus on an attacker, whilst Kai Rooney has advanced his promising career. Here, the Daily Star Sport looks at the latest news from Old Trafford.

The attack has been a worry for several years at Old Trafford, although Benjamin Sesko's recent form may have eased those concerns. However, despite the Slovenian's impressive goal-scoring streak this year, Patrice Evra is still advocating for the signing of Real Madrid star Endrick.
The Brazilian found playing time hard to come by in Spain in the first half of the season and was loaned out to Lyon in the winter, where he has thrived in Ligue 1. With five goals and four assists in 10 matches across all competitions, the 19-year-old has hit his stride since moving to Europe in 2024.
The former United ace told Stake: "If I could sign one striker for Man Utd I would choose Endrick - he would be a great signing. I've always loved watching Endrick, even when he was in Brazil.
"It was quite sad what happened at Real Madrid. He's killing it at Lyon. Lyon have a great history with bringing in Brazilian players and making them bounce back in their careers, like Juninho."

Already emulating his father Wayne by playing for United, Kai has gone a step further by signing up with Triple S Sports Management - the same agency that represented Wayne, 40.
Managed by the United legend's long-standing agent Paul Stretford, the global firm once again boasts a Rooney among its clientele as they announced the 16-year-old's arrival on Instagram. The post read: "Delighted to announce the signing of @kairooney.10 to Triple S Sports! We're excited to begin working with the Manchester United forward as he continues his journey in the game. A bright future ahead."

The ex-England striker has previously spoken about his son's footballing journey, emphasising that he takes a hands-off approach.
Speaking to the BBC last year, Wayne stated: "He has great coaches at Manchester United, so I take a stand off approach. I speak to him, but for me it's all about his mentality and his mindset, to make sure he keeps enjoying it – that's the main thing for me."
