A new name has emerged as a potential midfield signing for Manchester United in the summer transfer window - Johan Manzambi.
United are in the market for midfield signings this summer, with Casemiro leaving the club at the end of his current contract.
The Red Devils have been linked with a number of high-profile names, but the final call may come down to who the new permanent manager will be.
Michael Carrick has taken the reins for the final couple of months of the season, following the sacking of Ruben Amorim in January and the former United player will stake his claim for the job full-time.

He has done an outstanding job so far, losing just one of his eight games in charge, overseeing six wins and guiding United up to third in the Premier League table.
On the shortlist to sign for United this summer are Brighton & Hove Albion's Carlos Baleba, Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton, Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson and Newcastle United duo Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes, according to multiple reports.
Baleba has been a long-term favourite at the club, but Talksport reporter Alex Crook revealed this week that as well as a big-name signing, United could bring in a younger midfielder too.
That's where Manzambi comes in.
The 20-year-old has emerged as one of the most sought-after young players in European football, thanks to a scintillating campaign in the Bundesliga with Freiburg, described by One Football as an "underrated gem".

Manzambi has four goals and five assists to his name in 31 appearances for the German side in all competitions this season, but his all-round game has made clubs stand up and take notice too.
He wins 7.34 duels on average per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga - ranking him in the 96th percentile - and wins 3.15 fouls per game too - in the 97th percentile.
United have sent scouts to watch the Swiss in action this season, but they are not the only Premier League club interested in him. Chelsea and Arsenal are understood to have watched the youngster too, with Arsenal having already opened exploratory talks with Freiburg over a potential deal this summer. The German side are understood to be demanding £43million to sanction a deal.
United will have to act quickly if they want to complete a deal for Manzambi, but their wait to appoint a new manager could leave them lagging behind rivals when it comes to securing his signature.
