Senne Lammens has picked out one of his Manchester United teammates who doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
For Senne Lammens, this season could hardly have gone better at Manchester United, considering the fortunes turned from when he was put into the starting line-up.
Lammens has been brilliant in goal for United, being unanimously an upgrade on Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir.
His settlement into the club could have been difficult, were it not for Tom Heaton.

Senne Lammens and Ben Foster rave about Tom Heaton
Lammens has now appeared on the Fozcast podcast with Ben Foster, who heaped praise on the current United third-choice goalkeeper, Tom Heaton.
“I remember when I signed, and Tom was here already, he was a young lad coming through, and he was like, technically, honestly, I don’t know what he’s like now because I haven’t seen Tom train for, I don’t know, years, five years. Technically, I still would say he’s probably the best goalie I’ve ever seen.
“He was so clean and tidy with all of his movement patterns, everything was all in line, and all in shape and all together, and his hands were so clean. I just kept thinking, my gosh, you have got all sorts of ability, you really have. He was amazing,” Foster said.

Then, Foster asked Lammens what he thinks of Heaton, insisting that the 39-year-old is underrated.
“Yeah, I mean, still today, at almost 40 years old, you can still see him in training, so I can only imagine him in his prime, how good he was.
“Which, like, for a Belgian guy, he didn’t really get the recognition probably in the world, but I think that’s the most important thing, just every teammate you speak about of his, or like still teammates of now or today on training, the way they talk about him. Probably on the pitch are his qualities, but probably even more so off the pitch, and what a guy he is.”
Should Manchester United be extending Tom Heaton’s contract?

Tom Heaton’s impact behind the scenes at Manchester United is massive
Despite not being a key player, Heaton holds great significance for United off the pitch.
Amad has hailed Heaton for his importance, and this explains why he keeps getting contract extensions despite his role being more of a training goalkeeper at this stage.
Heaton’s importance has been compared with Casemiro’s, for his leadership, mentality, and positive influence while understanding the meaning of the club.
Lammens has praised his elder teammate, but Heaton has also been impressed by the Belgian, demonstrating the strong relationship the duo already has.
Heaton may leave United this summer, but don’t be shocked if he is given another extension.
