Juventus have confirmed that Dusan Vlahovic will not feature against Udinese in Serie A on Saturday evening, but there is a surprise inclusion in Luciano Spalletti’s squad as Arkadiusz Milik makes a rare appearance.
The Bianconeri are currently sitting in sixth place in the Serie A table on 50 points after 28 matches, one point but two positions shy of the top four with 10 league games of the season left to go.
Spalletti’s side will take on Udinese away from home on Saturday evening, kicking off at 19.45 GMT, and will be keeping a particularly keen eye on Sunday’s match between the fourth-placed Como and the fifth-placed Roma at the Stadio Sinigaglia (17.00 GMT kick-off).
Vlahovic has been involved in Juventus training this week after spending over three months recovering from surgery on his adductor, however, it was revealed on Friday that the Serbian would not be involved this weekend, which has since been confirmed in Juve’s official squad announcement.
Despite the absence of Vlahovic, Spalletti has still been able to welcome another striker back into his squad, as Milik returns for just the third time this season.
Milik has not played competitively for Juventus since the end of the 2023-24 season after a torrid few years with injuries and fitness issues. The 32-year-old was called up to the squad for two consecutive matches against Roma and Pisa in December, without featuring, but has missed the last 11 league matches with a calf injury. He is among the selections for Udinese, though.
