Report: Man Utd star is always the first to leave Carrington, should seal his summer fate

Manuel Ugarte is one of the players Manchester United fans are most frustrated by, with his performance level very low. But he isn’t exactly working to change this status.

Despite only being signed in 2024, Manuel Ugarte’s days at Manchester United feel numbered ahead of the summer transfer window.

Omar Berrada’s two-season rule could come into effect, with the Uruguayan giving little reason for the club to keep him, nor the fans to want him to remain beyond this campaign.

Michael Carrick has claimed Ugarte is important, but his actions prove otherwise. Now it has emerged how Ugarte is failing to help himself.

The shocking nature of Manuel Ugarte’s training level

Ugarte is considered one of the worst players at Manchester United right now, with fans tired of his underwhelming performances costing points.

Now, a report from The Sun has claimed that Ugarte isn’t helping himself with his actions at Carrington, specifically his lack of commitment.

This is because Ugarte is reportedly the United player who is first to depart the training complex.

It is added that United sources claim Ugarte is often back home as early as 12.15 pm on certain days, with training beginning at 9 am.

Ugarte’s lack of time at Carrington is contrasting to his teammates, many of whom stay there to make use of the new facilities.

With Ugarte’s horrendous record of being on the pitch for more than half of United’s goals this season despite barely playing, his lack of time spent with teammates is yet another indication he could be on the chopping block this summer.

Ugarte was linked with a January exit; however, it seems very likely he will leave come the next window.

Ugarte isn’t concerned about game time at Manchester United ahead of the World Cup

While he isn’t playing, Ugarte isn’t concerned right now, as he anticipates it might even help him to be fit for the World Cup.

“This year is different because of the World Cup, obviously,” he explained to Uruguayan outlet Último al Arco on Sport 890 AM. “I’m really excited about it and I really want it. I know I’m not playing, but I’m very happy and eager to be in the best shape possible for that moment.”

Despite his limited role under Carrick at United, the Uruguayan midfielder insists he is still in top physical shape.

“I’m always fit, even when I’m not playing,” Ugarte said. “Obviously, playing gives you a certain rhythm, but I’m calm. I’m trying to arrive in the best possible condition.”

Ugarte being unbothered by not playing for United is a concern and suggests that he doesn’t really care, combined with his quick exits from Carrington. Perhaps he has accepted his fate already.
