Man Utd have set the target to win the Premier League in the 2027/28 season.

United chiefs have set the ambitious target to win the Premier League title to coincide with the club's 150th anniversary in 2028. 'Project 150' is overseen by CEO Omar Berrada and aims to deliver league titles for both the men's and women's first-teams, while they also expect each side to be competitive in Europe as well.

The men's first-team currently sit third in the Premier League table under head coach Michael Carrick and are well placed to secure Champions League qualification at the end of the season. United have already made massive strides after they finished 15th in the top-flight last season, though Carrick has warned there is still 'a lot of work' to be done if they are to challenge for the title in two years.

Manchester United have set the lofty ambition to win the Premier League title in the 2027/28 season, though Michael Carrick is well aware of how enormous a challenge that will be.

United can't afford any complacency in their bid to become the best team in England again, but Carrick is aware that it is the target he would expect to meet if handed the permanent role this summer.

"You've got take step by step, I think," he told reporters in his latest press conference. "Certainly we want to keep improving and we want to keep moving up the table. I've said that sat here and said that before. I mean, at the moment, you know, being around where we are, it's an exciting time because we've got something to play for, we would love to be playing for something a little bit more, that little bit higher and really challenging for leagues.

"There's no way you can just say it's going to happen and assume it's going to happen. There's a lot of work that needs to go into that and a lot of things that need to be put in players to to achieve that. It's tough to win the Premier League and we understand that, but certainly we are definitely working towards it, we feel that’s where we want to be. We have been in the past and we want to get there again, but it's certainly just not straightforward and I think we all understand that, but we're certainly hungry to do it, yeah."
