Manchester United have confirmed their starting line up to face Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Michael Carrick will hope to bounce back from his first defeat as United head coach and knows victory over Villa would be a huge step towards Champions League qualification. United head into the match third in the league, level on points with Villa, and three points ahead of both Chelsea and Liverpool.

United could take a huge stride towards a top-four finish if they win today, with just eight matches left of the Premier League season after the Villa match. Michael Carrick has named his Manchester United starting line up to face Aston Villa in the Premier League today. United have made two changes to their side, with Diogo Dalot and Amad Diallo named in the starting line up.

It means Senne Lammens keeps his place in goal, with Leny Yoro and Harry Maguire the partnership in central defence. Dalot and Luke Shaw are the two options at full-back.

Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo retain their roles in central midfield, with Bruno Fernandes deployed in his favoured attacking midfield role. Carrick has selected a forward line of Amad, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.

United are still without the injured Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs De Ligt and Patrick Dorgu against Villa, but Mason Mount is back on the bench after his recent injury absence. Noussair Mazraoui is also involved after he suffered a knock in the recent defeat to Newcastle.
