Man Utd will listen to offers for“important”star with more first teamers set for the exit door

Manchester United are set for one of the busiest summers of any Premier League side.

Manchester United’s summer transfer plans are likely to be decided, with no head coach appointed for next season, and targets (Carlo Ancelotti and Thomas Tuchel) signing new contracts with their existing employers.

Michael Carrick will also be considered by CEO Omar Berrada and Director of Football Jason Wilcox, but when he first joined – having narrowly beaten Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Ruud van Nistelrooy – Carrick was only expected to be in charge until the end of the season.

No matter the new head coach, United will be looking for some new midfield reinforcement, as Casemiro has already confirmed he will be leaving the club at the end of the season upon the expiry of his contract.

Another big focus will be moving players out of the door to make room for more incomings, especially if United are looking to spend big again this summer.

Rasmus Hojlund’s Napoli move will be a big boost to the transfer budget, as will Marcus Rashford’s sale to Barcelona if it goes through. Jadon Sancho’s wage coming off the bill will also be a huge addition to the finances.

United to listen to offers for Mount

Mason Mount has been out injured since the 3-2 win against Arsenal in Carrick’s second game in charge, in which he didn’t appear from the bench, despite Patrick Dorgu’s hamstring injury.

The former Chelsea midfielder has now returned to training, and Carrick has said: “Mason [Mount] is back with the group, which is fantastic.

“He’s an important player for us.. He is not 100% in terms of back, because he’s only trained a very small amount of time, but he’s back, and that’s good for us.”

However, The Sun have reported that United will listen to offers for Mount, along with Manuel Ugarte and Joshua Zirkzee, despite all being regulars on the bench under Carrick.

The sales will allow United to raise funds for new additions, potentially the new midfielders who could be one of Elliot Anderson, Carlos Baleba, Amadou Onana, Sandro Tonali and Adam Wharton – all of whom will likely cost over £70 million.

United must integrate youngsters now

United’s injury troubles under Michael Carrick have led the head coach to include youngsters like Jack Fletcher, his brother Tyler, Godwill Kukonki and Shea Lacey – seemingly already more than Rúben Amorim in much less time in charge.

And this must continue until the end of the season. United have to keep integrating young players into the first team before the next season starts.

The young players on the edge of the first team could make up the numbers for United’s return to the Champions League, especially with loan stars set for a summer transfer.

Andre Onana will be another to leave Old Trafford this summer, despite only leaving on loan last year for Trabzonspor. His former deputy, Altay Bayindir, is also likely to leave.
