**AC Milan Women secured a huge three points on Sunday afternoon as they beat Juventus away from home.**
Going into the game, the Milan Women had won only six of their 16 games, putting them down in eighth position. Juventus meanwhile were on 28 points from 15 games, still harbouring hopes of catching Inter and Roma above them.
Indeed, the Rossonere were going through a difficult spell. However, they turned form on its head today by beating Juventus. The Bianconere certainly dominated the first half and missed multiple big chances, the most glaring of which was a penalty from Godo that was saved by Estevez.
The second half started in the best possible way for the Rossonere when Arrigoni’s cross was met by Grimshaw, who headed it to Kyvag, who finished with her left foot to make it 0-1 in the 49th minute.
Bakker’s girls held firm and only conceded a big chance in the 84th minute: Pinto, however, fired a powerful shot wide from a good position. In the 91st minute, Van Dooren hit the woodwork for the second time, but the match still ended with the visitors victorious.
Thanks to the win, the Rossonere climb to 24 points, still in eighth place in the standings but now four points behind Juve who occupy third place, the last spot valid for qualification for next season’s Women’s Champions League.
