Gary Neville and Dion Dublin in full agreement with Man Utd ace's 'incredible' ability against Aston Villa

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville and BBC Sport pundit Dion Dublin felt the same way about Casemiro’s heading ability after Manchester United’s 3-1 win against Aston Villa.

Casemiro resumed his key role from the two-man midfield pivot, alongside Kobbie Mainoo, under interim Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick on Sunday.

The 34-year-old Brazilian, who will leave Old Trafford in the summer, stepped up in a meaningful way after a 0-0 first-half scoreline between Man Utd and Aston Villa.

Bruno Fernandes whipped in a United corner early in the second half and Casemiro escaped his marker before he leapt in the air and made contact with the ball.

Casemiro’s glancing header for Manchester United in the 53rd minute hit the inside of Emiliano Martinez’s post and the ball crossed the line of the Aston Villa net.

The five-time Champions League winner has been in scintillating form for the Red Devils in the 2025-26 campaign ahead of his Man Utd contract expiring in June.

Casemiro has made 29 appearances across all competitions in the current season and the former Real Madrid star has netted seven times and registered two assists.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Red Devils legend Gary Neville was in awe at Casemiro’s heading and described the Brazil international as “sensational” for his ability.

“Casemiro is sensational at getting first contact on headers! That goal was coming,” he said.

“It is a brilliant header. A really good glance.”

Dion Dublin’s sentiments around Casemiro’s awareness with headers mirror what Gary Neville said about the Man Utd ace

Casemiro made way in the dying stages of the 3-1 Premier League win on Sunday afternoon, as Michael Carrick pulled him off and replaced him with Manuel Ugarte.

Dion Dublin was on the same wavelength as United legend Neville and the former Red Devils and Aston Villa striker praised Casemiro’s major strength with headers.

“You know what they say: ‘His legs have gone,’ the knowledge of the footballer, the skill and the way he executes things,” he said on BBC Radio 5 Live, as per BBC Sport.

“It is an incredible header from Casemiro. An out-swinging cross which makes the header easier, but to execute that header with such accuracy is just amazing.”

Man Utd bounced back from their defeat to Newcastle at St James’ Park and the third-place Red Devils have moved three points clear of fourth-place Villa.
