Michael Carrick has been nothing short of transformative ever since replacing Ruben Amorim as Manchester United's manager. The former Red Devils midfielder was handed the opportunity to save his old club's season, being appointed on January 13.
The Premier League giants look well on course to secure qualification to the UEFA Champions League due to the incredible U-turn they've completed under the 44-year-old. He's got the men in red into the top three as things stand, something no one could've foreseen under the previous boss.
An advantage Carrick has had over his rivals for a top-four berth is that United have been knocked out of both domestic cup competitions, while they aren't in European competition. That means his full focus has been on league matches, and he's reaping the rewards, as the Premier League table since his arrival shows.
Premier League Table Since Man Utd's Managerial Change
Manchester United
No club has gathered more points in England's top-flight since Carrick walked back into Old Trafford. United have only lost once on their way to an impressive 22-point tally in just nine matches.
That's more than Arsenal (21) and Manchester City (18), who are fighting for the title. It's also significantly more than their Champions League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool, who have collected 18 and 14 points since mid-January, respectively.

Jack Grealish Praises Man Utd Star on Social Media For Performance vs Aston Villa
The former Villa boyhood hero waxed lyrical of a Red Devils star during their 3-1 win on Sunday afternoon.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa have dropped like a stone since the turn of the year. Man Utd defeated Unai Emery's men on Sunday and have overtaken them in the table after looking out of sight in third place. This is due to the Villans being 18th in this alternative table, having picked up eight points, which is less than Wolves (9).
West Ham have given themselves hope in the relegation fight, earning more points than 14 teams in the division. The Hammers' 15-point haul compared to Tottenham's shambolic three points.

Rio Ferdinand Impressed by Man Utd's Resurgence Under Carrick
Rio Ferdinand
Rio Ferdinand
One man who displayed his delight at the club turning things around was Rio Ferdinand. One of the greatest defenders in Premier League history, the Englishman posted the table since his ex-teammate took the job on X (formerly Twitter) and captioned the post: “Charismatic Carras”.
Ferdinand has been one of the consistent United legends in his backing for Carrick. Roy Keane and Paul Scholes have both been critical of the ex-Middlesbrough manager, but Ferdinand is clearly more than impressed with what he's seen at Old Trafford.
