Bruno Fernandes made history as a Man United player today by reaching 100 goals and 100 assists for the club, and he did it faster than even Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo ever managed that feat.
The Red Devils defeated Aston Villa 3-1 at Old Trafford to move into third place in the Premier League table. While Fernandes wasn’t on the scoresheet, he was integral to getting his team up and running with a fine assist to set up Casemiro for the opening goal.

It’s been an incredible year for Bruno Fernandes
------------------------------------------------
That is now 17 assists and seven goals for Fernandes this season, and he looks to be carrying United to a top four finish and a return to Champions League football.
What is truly incredible is the sheer volume of creativity he’s produced this season when you compare him to his peers in the Premier League.
The Portuguese star has now created 100 chances in the league this season. His nearest competitor, Arsenal’s Declan Rice, has created 58 chances, nearly half the amount of the United man.

Similarly, this season Fernandes has created five or more chances in a whopping 12 matches. Rayan Cherki of Man City and Sean Longstaff of Leeds United are the closest to that feat, and they’ve only created five or more chances in just two matches this season.
Suffice it to say, no one can get close to Fernandes in 2025/26 when it comes to that playmaker role.
