Casemiro form driven by Brazil goal
Casemiro is giving everything to Manchester United in his final season for the club. He is determined to finish on a high – but there is an extra motivating reason too.
2025/26 was set up as an important one for Casemiro, as it is the prelude to what is very likely his final World Cup.
Casemiro will captain Brazil at World Cup 2026 in the USA, where he will be looking to win the tournament for the first time in his career.
Brazil were eliminated by Croatia at the quarter-final stage in 2022.
Having won almost everything at club level, the top international honour evades Casemiro.
It has also evaded Brazil since 2002. Roberto Carlos was part of the side that won 24 years ago, and he is clearly paying special interest in the current team’s key player.
