Fabrizio Romano says Man United are expected to receive around £70m in the summer transfer window.

The latter was the most expensive signing for Man United, but he has really come on in recent weeks. He scored during the Red Devils’ 3-1 win against Aston Villa over the weekend, which left them third in the Premier League.

Ahead of this summer, Man United are expected to spend big on improving their squad, and according to transfer Journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils could get a major cash boost ahead of the window.

Man United expected to receive £70m

Because of some of their negotiations in the summer, Man United could see a major cash boost of £70m before the start of the summer transfer window, which would provide them with ammunition in the transfer market.

Fabrizio Romano has said that because of the likely sales of both Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford, Man United are set to receive £70m (€80m) in the summer transfer window, which is a huge cash boost.

He said on his Instagram: “Manchester United are prepared to receive significant money ahead of the summer transfer window, with Rasmus Hojlund going to join Napoli on a permanent transfer in the summer. €6m of a loan fee was paid last summer, and now €44m is to be paid, so United is to receive a €50m package for Hojlund.

“Then there is Marcus Rashford. Agreement done between Rashford and Barcelona for a permanent transfer, but it now depends on Barca and Man United. Barcelona want to negotiate on the €30m buy option clause.

“Man United are very clear: €30m or nothing, so they are hopeful to receive €30m from Rashford. So, €80m from Hoijlund and Rashford is expected by Manchester United in their financial calculations.”

Man United could sign Anderson with Rashford and Hojlund boost

Anderson is expected to cost at least £80m, unless Nottingham Forest get relegated, which could drop his price considerably. The cash boost that United will get from the sales of Rashford and Hojlund could help United put in a better offer than Man City, and enable them to land Anderson, or their alternative target, Carlos Baleba.

The Forest star has been a fantastic holding midfielder in the Premier League this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists for Forest in what has been a poor season for the Nottingham-based side.
