Freddie Ljungberg insisted that the “kind of person” that Manchester United interim boss Michael Carrick is could not be more different from Tottenham interim head coach Igor Tudor.
The 48-year-old Arsenal legend was on punditry duties for Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford alongside Red Devils legend Peter Schmeichel.
Michael Carrick has enjoyed a superb reign as Red Devils interim head coach after United’s display against Aston Villa earned him his seventh win from nine matches.
Igor Tudor, on the other hand, has faced immense pressure at Tottenham after he was installed as interim head coach in February following the sacking of Thomas Frank.

Freddie Ljungberg explains why Michael Carrick is perfect for Man Utd compared with Igor Tudor at Tottenham
Manchester United have climbed to third place in the Premier League table after Ruben Amorim was sacked and Michael Carrick was brought back to the club.
Meanwhile, Igor Tudor is attempting to save Tottenham from relegation and the 47-year-old under-fire interim boss has lost four of his five matches in charge so far.

Tudor has overseen three Premier League defeats for Spurs and 16th-place Tottenham picked up their first point under him against Liverpool on Sunday.
Freddie Ljungberg said that Tudor’s handling of Antonin Kinsky in Spurs’ Champions League loss to Atletico Madrid would be the exact opposite of what Carrick would have done.
Speaking on Viaplay, he explained: “One thing I have to say, compare Igor Tudor with Carrick.
“He’s talked about… this is the future of the club, this and that, and we had what Tudor did to his goalkeeper [Antonin Kinsky] at 22 years old… that’s not for the future of the club.
“Carrick is the kind of person you want at your club.”

Freddie Ljungberg throws his full backing for Michael Carrick to become the next permanent Man Utd manager
Outside of his scathing criticism of Tudor at Tottenham, Ljungberg showed his huge admiration for Carrick after the Red Devils’ latest Premier League triumph.
The former Sweden and Arsenal star admitted that he feels that Carrick has done enough to be appointed the next permanent United manager at Old Trafford.
“We’ve had all these massive managers here,” he said, as per the Metro.
“They’ve tried it and it hasn’t worked. Give him the chance! Try it! The quicker they can make the decision, the easier it is.”
United are third in the Premier League table under Carrick and the Red Devils are three points clear of fourth-place Villa after Sunday’s massive 3-1 result.
