West Ham have a golden opportunity to sign long-term transfer target Jonathan David in the summer transfer window.
The striker was repeatedly linked with a move to East London before he finally left Lille to join Juventus last year.
David’s debut season at Juventus has not gone well, opening the door for the Hammers to re-enter negotiations.

Juventus to make Jonathan David available this summer
Juventus are already considering selling Jonathan David after his underwhelming debut campaign.
The Canadian international has only scored seven goals in 39 appearances in all competitions.
Tuttosport are now reporting that David’s future in Turin is unlikely to extend beyond this summer.
Ligue 1 clubs Marseille and Lyon are interested in signing the forward, but there will probably be interest from the Premier League, too.

Relegation rivals West Ham, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest have all previously shortlisted David.
Assuming the Hammers escape relegation to the Championship, most would agree that they need to sign a striker.
January additions Pablo and Taty Castellanos have provided solid depth, but neither has hit the ground running at the London Stadium.
Transfermarkt’s valuation of David suggests that he would cost in the region of £30 million, which appears reasonable.
