Juventus are reportedly keen on former Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood – a move which could see the Red Devils pocket less money from a sell-on clause in his contract. United offloaded Greenwood to French Ligue 1 outfit Marseille in the summer of 2024.
The Red Devils negotiated a sell-on clause, which grants them a substantial portion of any future transfer fee which Marseille may collect from a sale. While early reports differed, the clause is widely believed to be between 40 and 50 per cent.
And Italian outlet Tuttosport claims that Marseille have placed a £42million price tag on the player – a sum Juve may struggle to meet through a straightforward cash transaction. Nevertheless, it is suggested that the strong relationship between the two clubs could result in an inventive solution involving player exchanges.

It is claimed that Jonathan David or Edon Zhegrova could be part of discussions to reduce the overall price. However, such a situation would see United collect less money from a potential sale.
The 24-year-old departed Old Trafford in a £26.6million transfer to join Marseille in July 2024. Greenwood went on to net 22 goals alongside six assists across all competitions in his maiden season for the French side.
The Red Devils academy product has netted 25 goals and provided eight assists in 38 appearances across all competitions this season.

And Greenwood's outstanding form prompted former Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi to support him winning the Ballon d'Or.
He said: "I see him every day, he has huge potential. I don't see any other players in Europe at the same level.
"He has the potential to win the Ballon d'Or. It will be up to him to decide whether he wants to do everything he can to fight for it or not.
"At the level of the qualities that nature has given him, that his parents have given him, I think he is worthy of the Ballon d'Or.
"I would like him to be more consistent. I know he needs to press with more intensity, he needs to manage the ball better when the team is in trouble, not lose the ball easily, but keep it to allow the team to move up because he has the ability to do it."
Greenwood, who has one England cap, changed international allegiances to Jamaica last year.
In August 2025, he obtained his passport for the Caribbean nation, paving the way for him to represent his grandparents' country.
