Scott has been hugely impressive this term for AFC Bournemouth, featuring in every game for Andoni Iraola’s side.
He was called up by Tuchel for the first time in November, and while he didn’t play, the 22-year-old will hope he made a good impression and is in the Three Lions head coach’s mind for the upcoming tournament.

Scott told the Daily Echo that it would be a dream come true to be included, and he is proud to even be in the conversation, having progressed from non-league football in Guernsey.
“It's the things you dream of as a kid,” he said.
“I think you ask any kid in England that likes football, they obviously want to play for their country.

“Especially for me, it was something that, I don't know, five years ago it would have been definitely not possible.
“So to even be in the conversation and in and around it is obviously a huge honour for me.
“I can be proud of myself for how far I've come to get that first call-up last break. But obviously now I want to push on and go one further and be a crucial part for England.
“So yeah, we'll see what happens this week. If it goes well, it goes well. If not, then head down, focus and go again. But it'd obviously be a massive dream to play in the World Cup.”
Scott believes he has been playing well recently and has been playing his best football this season.

He said he learned a lot in November with the national team, and picked out England stalwart Declan Rice as one who took him under his wing and helped him settle in.
Reflecting on the camp, Scott said: “Just talking to people and seeing how they look after themselves away from football, what they're doing before training, after training, different bits like that were probably the main things.
“The players were all brilliant. I think Dec was one of the main ones, obviously midfield players, same position as well, so he was always talking to me and trying to help me as much as he could because I feel like he obviously knows it's obviously tough coming into a group like that.
“He had obviously done it when he was younger as well, so all the players were great for that.

“So yeah, I was grateful to them for that. But yeah, nothing specific to learn. I think we're all there on merit, we're all good football players, so I just wanted to be myself when I went there.”
Scott said the key thing for him was to learn how Tuchel wants his England side to play, and added that learning off “some of the best players in the world was a dream come true”.
The midfielder was very much with the squad deservedly, after a stellar start to the season. He has only got better since, too.
“I think it's definitely been my best season on a personal note,” he explained.
“I think I feel confident at the minute, I feel as fit as I've ever been and I'm probably playing my best football so in that regard, I'm really happy.

“A number of different positions - in the past, I think, four weeks I've played 10, 8, and 6.
“So, it's good for me. I enjoy it. Obviously Tyler [Adams] is out at the minute, so played 6 at the weekend, which is a different role, and there's different parts to every role in midfield.
“So for me, I'm still learning. I'm still learning off these players and this manager and what he wants.
“But yeah, I'm really happy with my season's gone, and especially in the past few weeks, I feel like I’ve grown in confidence and the season as a whole I’ve felt very confident and like I said, playing my best football.
“So yeah, I'm happy at the minute. It would be nice to convert some of these draws into wins. I think that's the main thing for us at the minute.

“It's been frustrating not scoring the goals, but yeah, it's been good for me. I've been happy to be playing.”
Scott has gone from strength to strength this term and has improved week on week.
Physically, he believes he has come on a long way: “I'm a lot stronger, I can run a lot more, I can compete with the other physical players in this league and what this manager wants, the running stuff is very important and that's something I was maybe lacking in.
“Obviously the injuries didn't help, coming back and getting injured again. I've had a full season now where I've just grown week on week.
“So I think that's probably been the main thing I've improved this year. Obviously I know I've got the ability to play, but having the confidence to then do that, for me at the start it was tough.
“The Premier League, it's the stars, like it's the biggest league in the world, the best players.

“And I think once I got over that and now I feel like I'm comfortable and I'm at the level to be playing here, that's only brought the best out of me.
“So, I think in the competition, there's a lot of passing, dribbling, I like to think I can do most of it and it's about picking the right moments to do it.
“I think as I'm playing as a number 6, it's important to keep the ball moving and get on the ball and help as much as I can in the build-up, whereas an 8 and a 10 for me, it's more beating players dribbling, which is probably one of my best attributes.
“So yeah, it's been good to play all of them. I'm enjoying all of them. It's tough game by game, but yeah, it's been brilliant for me and I can't complain.”

While the World Cup looms large Scott admitted that it’s not something the squad focuses specifically on, but they all want to be in contention and as fit and as in form as possible for the summer.
“It's important that you're on it every single game and until the last game of the season,” he said.
“So, for me it's not something we speak about or look at. Obviously players are going to be excited to be playing in a World Cup, of course, it's the biggest tournament in the world.
“So yeah, for us, and every other player in the league and in the world, it's about staying fit and performing at this level in the Premier League to then hopefully get calls up for your national team and perform at the World Cup as well.
“It's really important to stay focused as much as possible for the remaining eight games, so stay fit and focused and yet go into the summer full of confidence, really.”
