Albion visit Chelsea tonight (7pm) knowing a win would take them into sixth place in the table.
But Chelsea will be clear favourites to take the spoils and move back ahead of Manchester United behind clear leaders Manchester City.
Chelsea were 3-0 winners at Albion earlier this season and Vidosic wants an improvement on that display.
Albion were second best on the day and conceded the opener just before the break.
Head coach Vidosic said: “Last time, what was disappointing, especially in the first half, was that we just sort of didn't put pressure.
“We were sort of hesitant with the ball.
“We were almost like garden gnomes out there in the first half and made it very, very easy for Chelsea to pin us back.
“In the second half, we were much better. We created a few chances that could have made it a little bit interesting at 2-1, but unfortunately wouldn't go in on the day.
“We want to start better. We want to have a better first half and try to control the game.
“I think that's going to be again really important because of the quick turnaround to another game on Sunday.
“We don't want to really be caught in a heavy transition game or being asked to defend for long, long periods.”
The match was pushed back from last weekend due to the League Cup final, in which Chelsea beat Manchester United 2-0.
Albion go into the game without Kiko Seike, Moeka Minami and Charlie Rule due to the Asian Cup.
Rule is already through to the final with Australia and went on as sub late in their 2-1 win over China in the semis.
Chiamaka Nnadozie remains with Albion after AFCON was pushed back until the end of the season.
Vidosic said: “At the minute we've got what we've got. We have to manage it.
“It is what it is with the three girls away. It's not ideal as well, but we can sit here, we can make excuses, but I'd rather find solutions.”
Albion make their long-awaited return home on Sunday when Liverpool visit Broadfield Stadium (noon).
It will be the Seagulls’ first home game since an unfortunate 2-1 defeat to London City Lionesses on February 1.
