Leeds United brought Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher to Thorp Arch earlier this year, but things have not been easy for him.

The Whites are currently fixated on maintaining their Premier League status, but in the background, they have been making some additions to their academy.

Alfie Walker and Ibrovic-Fletcher made the move to Thorp Arch over the last few months, with a clear plan in place to develop them for the future.

Ibrovic-Fletcher, in particular, arrived with plenty of high hopes given the reputation he had built for himself at just 17 years old, but his stats from the limited appearances he has made are certainly concerning.

How has Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher fared at Thorp Arch?

Ultimately, not very well.

However, it’s vital to note that he is just 17 years old and has only recently made the move to Leeds, where it will take some time for him to get used to his new surroundings.

With that said, some of his stats from the limited minutes he has for the Under-21 side are quite concerning.

Despite being a midfielder by trade, Ibrovic-Fletcher has completed just 60.7 per cent of his attempted passes in the Premier League 2, which actually places him in the bottom 1.8 per cent of players.

It means he has completed just 17 passes in the four appearances he has made, with all but one of them having seen him play at least 45 minutes.

Just five days after completing his move to Leeds from Man United, Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher scored 15 minutes into his debut for the U18s.🤯⚽️

On top of that, his 25 per cent duel win rate showcases the improvements that need to be made in the physical side of his game, though that will come with age.

The teenager has got a goal and an assist at the Under-18 level, though, perhaps demonstrating that will be the best place for him to develop as a player.

Could Leeds sanction summer loan move for Ibrovic-Fletcher?

Loans are arguably the most valuable aspect in the development of any young player, but in this instance, another campaign at Thorp Arch may be needed.

It’s clear that Ibrovic-Fletcher has struggled to adapt to his new club, which is understandable, but a move away again in the summer would disrupt that further.

If Leeds are to see the best of the midfielder, Under-18 football has to be the way forward to support his development.
