Leeds United have had a bit of a problem in attack this season. The club thought they had solved the problem in the summer transfer window, bringing in three new players.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor and Lukas Nmecha joined the team to add some quality. It also meant Mateo Joseph and Largie Ramazani had to leave on loan, and Patrick Bamford left the club. Joel Piroe, who was the top scorer in the Championship last season, is now limited to cameos off the bench this campaign.

There were concerns about the club signing Nmecha and Calvert-Lewin, two forwards who had injury-prone careers outside Elland Road. But the Whites still took the chance to sign them. Some can call the two signings a success; the duo have scored 16 goals in all competitions this season and are the top two scorers for the club.
Leeds United eye Derby County forward
According to SportsBoom, Leeds United have interest in Derby County striker Patrick Agyemang. The US Men’s National team striker made his move to England this year and has been decent in the Championship. The report states that Wolves are planning to build their next season around the 25-year old, with manager Rob Edwards a big fan.
It looks like Wolves and Leeds will go head-to-head to sign Agyemang in the summer. The Derby County striker has managed 10 goals in 34 appearances in the league this season.

Patrick Agyemang is not what the club need
Leeds United spending £20 million on a striker with 10 goals in England is not a good decision. The Whites will have Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin under contract beyond this summer, so will be okay in the striking department. If anything, who ever they decide to add to the attack needs to be an upgrade on the current options – something Patrick Agyemang is not at this point of his career.
Goals have been difficult to come by at points in this season, and the club know that they will have to address this in the coming months. But if the recruitment team want a solution, then Agyemang should be way down the shortlist.
