Liverpool will be adding more quality in the summer, could raiding Real Madrid save a pound or two?

Liverpool are no different to any other team in world football in that they have to watch the pennies and the pounds.

Long term planning allowed a record spend last summer as well as Richard Hughes being able to land top dollar transfer fees for players who he had deemed to be surplus to requirements or not worth the extra wages that they were demanding to extend their respective stays on Merseyside. Camavinga is the exact profile of player that Liverpool needs in that he can operate as a no.6 in a defensive role, or in games where they are dominant in possession, as a player who can win the ball higher up the park and keep his team on the front foot. If Liverpool are losing Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate, Alaba and Rudiger could be the perfect pair to provide competition, backup and experienced options for Arne Slot. Who better for the likes of Milos Kerkez, Giovanni Leoni and Jeremy Jacquet to learn from than two players who have won six Champions League titles between them? They will be happy to still be at a big club, but also have the quality needed if Liverpool need them in the starting XI.
