Police appeal to identify man after assault in Istanbul takeaway on Butts

Police are trying to find this man after a serious late night assault at a kebab house in Coventry. The incident happened at Istanbul takeaway shortly before midnight last Wednesday (11 March).

Coventry Police shared CCTV footage of the man officers wish to speak with. It shows an individual wearing a red Manchester United jersey.

Police say he has distinctive tattoos and goes by the name 'Nav'. The investigation is ongoing and police have already made one arrest, but they need the public's help finding this individual.

A spokesman for Coventry Police said: "Appeal - we need your help identifying this man after two other men were seriously assaulted at a takeaway in Coventry.

"It happened at the Istanbul takeaway on Butts, at around 11.45pm on 11 March.

"The suspect was wearing a Manchester United shirt, had a tattoo of a fist on his left forearm, and is believed to go by the name ‘Nav’.

"Another man has already been arrested as part of the investigation and released on bail. Anyone who recognises the man in the video has been asked to get in touch via 101, quoting 20/176832/26."
