Former Blackpool boss Lee Clark has been appointed as Rotherham United head coach until the end of the season.
Blackpool’s fellow League One strugglers Rotherham United have swiftly filled their vacant managerial position.
The Millers announced the departure of Matt Hamshaw on Wednesday morning on the back of a 5-0 defeat to Peterborough United, with the South Yorkshire outfit currently sat 22nd in the third tier, and five points off the Seasiders who are just above them.
Former Bloomfield Road figure Lee Clark has taken over at the New York Stadium until the end of the season, in his first coaching position since 2022.
The 53-year-old’s time on the Fylde Coast came back in the 2014/15 campaign, and proved to be unsuccessful for both parties.
In 32 games under the ex-Newcastle United midfielder, Blackpool managed just three victories, leaving him with a nine percent win rate.
That proved to be his last EFL job until now, with further roles in the UK coming with Kilmarnock, Bury and Blyth Spartans, before taking on opportunities abroad.
