According to Tuttosport (via Sport Witness), West Ham are among the Premier League clubs interested in Jonathan David as the Juventus forward’s future at the Italian side appears uncertain.
The 26-year-old Canadian only joined Juventus last summer on a free transfer but has struggled to cement himself as the long-term successor to Dusan Vlahovic.
David has scored seven goals in 39 appearances across all competitions this season, many of them coming when Vlahovic was sidelined with injury. Juventus are reportedly open to a summer sale, given David’s contract situation and the lack of a transfer fee involved in his arrival.
Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be monitoring the forward, meaning any potential deal could be competitive.
Described by Canada teammate Jonathan Osorio as a “superstar,” David brings versatility and proven finishing to the forward line — attributes West Ham could use if they aim to push for a strong finish and strengthen ahead of next season.
Could David Be a Hammers Option?
For West Ham, signing David would represent a chance to add quality to the attack without breaking the bank.
His experience in Serie A and international pedigree make him a realistic option for the London Stadium club, who will need to be strategic in the transfer market whether they stay up or fight relegation.
The forward’s arrival could complement existing options like Crysencio Summerville and Pablo Felipe, giving Nuno Espirito Santo more firepower as the club looks to secure survival and plan for next season.
