Azeez, who has registered 16 goal involvements for the promotion-hopefuls, has recently had an interview with Sky Sports.

His comments amplify how mature and grounded he is, which may entice Moyes to intensify his interest.

Everton target Femi Azeez has the perfect mentality

Despite being one of the best wingers in the Championship this term, Azeez is remaining grounded and feels the best is yet to come.

“It has been a long road to get here but I’m still only 24,” Azeez told Sky.

“I’ve got plenty of years left in the game. Sometimes I do remind myself I’m not the finished product just yet, so I’ve got plenty of years to grow.

“I put in the work and I want to reach my potential, but also surpass my potential. It is exciting to think what could happen, but I don’t want to look too far ahead because if you look too far ahead you can kind of live in a fantasy land.

“My mind and my mental state is just to keep grounded, keep working hard and just keep improving every day. That’s the main thing.”

Moyes has always recruited players based on their ability and character, and it’s clear Azeez would check both of those boxes.

Evidently, the left-footed winger has the correct mentality to progress and continue to develop into a Premier League star.

Everton will be keeping tabs on Millwall’s end to the season, as the deal would become unlikely if they gain promotion to the Premier League.

The Lions are currently sitting in fourth place, just two points from the automatic spots.
