Liverpool will face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-finals next month after they completed a comeback against Galatasaray.

The Reds beat the Turkish side 4-0 at Anfield on Wednesday evening to go through 4-1 on aggregate having lost the first game 1-0 in Istanbul last week.

The clash with PSG is a rerun of the round of 16 tie last season, which the French side won on penalties after a 1-1 draw on aggregate on their way to lifting the trophy for the first time.

While the dates for the game are to be confirmed, it is likely the first leg will be on Wednesday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 14.

Liverpool's other meetings with PSG in European competition saw them win at home and lose away in the group stage in their triumphant 2018/19 Champions League campaign, and lose 3-0 away and then win 2-0 at home in the European Cup Winners' Cup semi-final in 1997.

With the remainder of the quarter-finals locked in, Liverpool know they will face either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid in the semi-finals, leading the tantalising prospect of coming up against former player Trent Alexander-Arnold.

In the other half of the draw, Sporting Lisbon take on Arsenal while Barcelona face Spanish rivals Atletico Madrid.
