Man Utd forward Joshua Zirkzee is pushing to leave Old Trafford this summer, according to reports in the Italian media.

Tuttosport claim that the Dutchman’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, is already hard at work to get him out of the club.

Zirkzee has decided his time with the Red Devils will come to an end after two seasons, and he has his suitcases packed, ready for a move away from Manchester.

A return to Italy is deemed the most likely outcome, with the Netherlands international having joined United from Bologna in the summer of 2024.

Zirkzee has struggled for minutes

Man Utd spent £36.5m to bring the striker to England before the start of the 2024/25 season, but he hasn’t been able to establish himself as a regular starter.

Zirkzee has been named in the starting lineup for just 26 games in total, and he has barely featured since the appointment of interim boss Michael Carrick back in January. Buy classic Carrick shirts from UK Soccer Shop here.

He has been on the pitch for only 28 minutes in total (prior to the Bournemouth game on Friday night). It is believed that he rejected the chance to join Roma before the transfer deadline last month as he wanted to fight for his place, but he has now admitted defeat.

Man Utd could sell him for a loss

Tuttosport report that Juventus are Zirkzee’s most likely suitor this summer, and the Bianconeri think they can secure the 24-year-old’s services for around €25m (£21.6m). That means the Red Devils would be taking a £15m hit to offload him.

They wouldn’t necessarily get the money straight away either. Juve are considering tabling a loan offer with an option to buy, or one with an obligation to purchase based on certain conditions.
