Manchester United have a decision to make regarding the future of the attacker this summer

Manchester United are ‘prepared’ to sell striker Joshua Zirkzee amid interest from Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli, according to CaughtOffside. The attacker could leave Old Trafford this summer for a new challenge elsewhere. His contract expires in June 2029.

Michael Carrick remains in caretaker charge of the Red Devils. He continues to hold the fort following Ruben Amorim’s exit. The Red Devils are positioned in 3rd place in the Premier League table behind Arsenal and Manchester City.

Manchester United could see Joshua Zirkzee this summer

Zirkzee has struggled to make an impact at United since his move in 2024. A departure would likely suit all parties involved later this year. He needs to be getting regular game time at this stage of his career, whilst cutting ties with him would free up space and funds in the Red Devils’ ranks to pave the way for other reinforcements.

The 24-year-old made the switch to England after catching the eye in Italy at Bologna. He has since scored nine goals in 69 games in all competitions, two of which have come this season. His minutes have dried up over recent times.

Zirkzee, who is a Holland international with six caps to his name, provides competition and depth to United’s attacking department but isn’t a regular starter. He started his senior career at Bayern Munich after joining them as a youngster from Bologna. The Bundesliga outfit then loaned him out to Parma and Anderlecht during his time at the Allianz Arena to get some experience under his belt.

After signing for United, Zirkzee said at the time: "Having had discussions with the manager and the leaders of the club I know how exciting the future is going to be here and I cannot wait to play my part in achieving success for Manchester United.

"I am a player who has always dedicated everything to winning; I’m ready for this next challenge, to go to another level in my career and win more trophies. It is a privilege to join such an iconic club. I have to take a short break now after being with the national team, but I’ll be coming back ready to make an impact straight away."
