A look at the early injury news surrounding West Ham and Aston Villa ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash.

West Ham return to action on Sunday when they face Aston Villa away from home in a tricky looking trip. The Hammers are still goal difference from safety, and if they can get through this one, their reward will be a clash with bottom club Wolves.

The Iron have shown an ability to hold good teams of late, and Villa come into this one in poor form, now struggling to keep hold of fourth place despite once having a strong grip on third.

Villa know the pressure is on to keep hold of a Champions League spot following their slip over recent weeks, and that could make it a bad time to play the Midlands club. Here we round up the early injury news surrounding both sides, but keep in mind Villa do play Lille in the Conference League on Thursday night, so there could yet be some change on their end.

Boubacar Kamara - Out

Kamara suffered a knee injury back in January. Emery said at the time: “Kamara is a long time, I think he’s not going to play this season.”

Youri Tielemans - Out

Tielemans is going to be out until April. Emery has said: “Youri Tielemans is progressing well, but there’s still time to work individually to join us.”

Matt Cash - Doubt

Cash just missed out last week and he may well be back this weekend.

Emi Buendia - Doubt

Buendia is hoping to return from a knock here.

Crysencio Summerville - Out

Summerville is going to be out for a couple of weeks. Santo has said: “We have Summerville out... we will assess him day by day and see how he goes, but he's not going to be available for the game. We're going to miss him.”

Scarles will be battling to return from a knock.

Fabianski remains out, but he is back in training and should be available for selections oon.
