But she could not head off a narrow defeat away to the champions.
The Seagulls went down 2-1 at Chelsea in their first league game for more than five weeks.
Camacho, who signed last summer having parted company with Real Madrid, gave them hope with a 17th-minute equaliser.
She cut on to her right foot and saw a shot from outside the box take a deflection on its way past England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton and into the bottom corner.
Camacho has previously scored in cup action and has gone close in the league, notably when she headed against the crossbar at Liverpool and was denied by a stunning save from Daphne van Domselaar at Arsenal.
This time, her shot cancelled out an early header from Alyssa Thompson.
But teenager Lexi Potter fired home the Chelsea winner on 39 minutes after neat touches from Aggie Beever-Jones and Thompson.
Albion head coach Dario Vidosic said: “We could have done better on both.
“We got the equaliser but then conceded from a similar position, a similar type of cross, and we didn't protect it enough.
“But overall, I'm quite proud of the players for their reaction in the second half. It's something to build on.”
