Huddersfield and Leeds Utd Women Secure Wins in Title Race

Huddersfield Town and Leeds Utd Women both won in midweek as they push for the FA WNL Division One North title.
Division One North
Huddersfield Town 2-0 Stockport County (Att: 72)
Leeds United 2-0 York City (Att: 175)
Division One South West
Abingdon United 0-0 Maidenhead United (Att: 49)
Leeds United’s 2-0 win over bottom-but-one York City kept them at the top of the Division One North table.
Amy Woodruff’s opener made the difference at the break, before Drew Greene secured the points in the latter stages.
Huddersfield Town stayed within a point of the top side with a game in hand after defeating mid-table Stockport County.
Laura Elford struck first, and Louise Biggins won and converted a penalty in first-half added time.
Abingdon United are still two points behind fifth-placed Maidenhead United with a game in hand in Division One South West, following the goalless draw between the pair.
