Femi Azeez set for Premier League regardless of Millwall’s success

Millwall are enjoying a very good season in the Championship, as they reside in the play-off spots, just two points adrift of automatic promotion.

That said, there was a fear that if they did gain promotion, it’d more than likely write off Everton’s chances of signing Azeez.

However, according to SportsBoom, that’s not thought to be the case. The report claims that Azeez is set for the top-flight regardless of whether Millwall go up.

Indeed, the Toffees will be in a stronger negotiating position if Alex Neil’s side remain in the second tier, as they could land his signature for a lower fee.

It has been mooted that the former non-league star could command a fee in the region of £15-20m.

So, it’d be a pretty risk-free signing for Everton, and it’d allow them to perhaps sign another wide player, rather than putting all their eggs in one basket.

The Summerville deal would probably only be possible if the Hammers suffer relegation.
