Nottingham Forest’s boss has issued an injury update with a date with Tottenham coming up.

Tottenham are now turning their attention to Sunday’s huge Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest. Spurs picked up their first win under Igor Tudor on Wednesday night when they defeated Atletico Madrid, but the one-goal win was not sufficient to turn around the three-goal defeat in the first leg.

It might drum up some momentum, though, adding to the late draw with Liverpool over the weekend, and it will be good timing if it does, given the importance of that six-pointer with Forest.

Spurs are currently just one point clear of the relegation zone, while Forest are only goal difference above the dotted line. This fixture will give both teams the chance to make a big statement in their bids for survival, but the loser will be left feeling very different about their survival chances - should there be a loser.

Tottenham have a slight advantage in the lead up to this game, given they played at home in the Champions League on Wednesday, while Forest don’t play their European game until Thursday night, taking on Midtjylland in Denmark.

That gives Spurs extra less, and indeed a lot less travel, with Sunday’s game also being home for Tottenham.

But how are Forest doing on the injury front? Victor Pereira provided an update ahead of their trip to Denmark, telling the media, as cited by the Nottingham Post: “We don't have any new injuries. Jair (Cunha) is out because he is trying to recover

“Chris Wood is out recovering. (Stefan) Ortega is in condition to play tomorrow. I think that's all.”

Speaking about Wood, who was the top scorer for Forest last season, Pereira added: “I am watching him in training. He started the warm-up with us today, with the team.

“I don’t want to push him, but I think he will be able to help us in the last games. He is important for the group, he is important because he has quality and will score goals. He has the personality to help us.”

Wood has played just eight Premier League games so far this season having been plagued by injury throughout the campaign. Wood suffered an initial knee injury and ended up requiring surgery.
