Jack Colback has shared the mistake that Evangelos Marinakis has made at Nottingham Forest involving Nuno Espirito Santo.

Jack Colback thinks Marinakis was wrong to sack Nuno Espirito Santo

Colback has praised Marinakis since his retirement, but he’s now cited one big mistake that he’s made this season.

Forest could well end up getting relegated by Espirito Santo, and that would leave Marinakis feeling extremely embarrassed if it does come to that scenario.

Colback thinks Marinakis should have cleared the air with the former boss, who started the season and did so well in 2024/25 and thinks letting him go was an error.

He said on the All Out Football podcast: “I think he has to live by his decisions, really.

“Ultimately, he should have kept with Nuno, but that relationship was obviously broken because he’s stepping over the line for some people and coming on the pitch and that sort of thing.

“So, yeah, listen, he owns the club. It’s his choice. But does he always make the right decision? Maybe not.”

Only time will tell just how badly Marinakis lives to regret his relationship breakdown with Espirito Santo.

Hopefully, this drab campaign doesn’t cost Forest their place in the Premier League, but right now, things aren’t looking good for the Reds.
