Liverpool face a tough task replacing Mohamed Salah but one of the best wingers in Europe is still a target.
If Liverpool want to replace Mohamed Salah, they need to be looking at the best players in Europe.
One of those is Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise who currently has 15 goals and 27 assists in 38 appearances in the sort of season that is making everyone pay attention. With Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi no longer dominating the Ballon d’Or, the France international has as good a chance as any if he continues at his current rate and picks up a few more trophies along the way. Liverpool have been linked with Olise, although prising him from the Bundesliga champions won’t be easy.
Liverpool face competition for Michael Olise
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool aren’t the only team who are keeping tabs on Olise’s situation and, predictably, it is another club with deep pockets: ‘Real Madrid are reportedly plotting to leapfrog Liverpool in the race to sign one of European football’s most exciting talents, while a top Dutch talent wanted by Bernabeu transfer chiefs has revealed that he is desperate to move to Spain.
“Aware of the growing interest in the former Crystal Palace man, Vincent Kompany’s side plan to give Olise a lucrative new contract, although other elite clubs have also made him a target. It’s been reported for some time that Liverpool see Olise as their dream successor for Mohamed Salah on the right flank, only for Real Madrid to now burst into the race.”

“He’s doing fantastic at Bayern, so obviously many links with Liverpool because Liverpool will add players on the winger position. So Liverpool will do something there. Could be one, could be two, we will see. But at the moment, Michael Olise is seen as an unrealistic target because he doesn’t have a release clause, and also because Bayern absolutely want to keep Olise.” Newcastle also wanted to keep Alexander Isak.
