Sky Sports: Man Utd now eyeing £50m move to sign 'absolute baller', Nagelsmann loves him

Manchester United have added Germany international Nathaniel Brown to their summer shortlist, according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The Red Devils are expected to prioritise a move to strengthen their midfield, with at least two stars planned to be brought in as they prepare for the exit of Casemiro, while Manuel Ugarte could also be on the move out of Old Trafford.

But midfield isn't the only area of the pitch that INEOS are planning to bolster, with left-back seen as a priority too, and Brown has now emerged as someone the club are very keen on bringing in.

Brown, who has been described as 'an absolute baller', has burst onto the scene this season in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt, registering three goals and six assists for the club in all competitions.

That form has seen him earn a maiden call-up to Julian Naglesmann's Germany squad for the March internationals, but it has also now emerged that Man Utd chiefs are keen to find an agreement to bring him to the Premier League in the summer. Interestingly, Naglesmann has been strongly linked with a move to take over at Old Trafford next season.

Frankfurt know there is strong interest in the 22-year-old defender and are anticipating receiving a major fee, and it's understood that they will demand at least £50m to let him leave.

United will have Luke Shaw in the final 12 months of his contract, while Tyrell Malacia is expected to leave at the end of his contract. Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui are both capable of playing on the left too, although they are naturally right-footed, while Diego Leon and Harry Amass are youngsters pushing for an opportunity in the first-team.

Left-Back a Priority for Man Utd

Shaw has been in great form for Man Utd this season, and is the only player to start all 30 Premier League games so far for the club. But his injury issues are still a long-term concern, and someone who can fill the position in the long-term should be a priority.

Brown has clearly impressed with his form in the Bundesliga, and GIVEMESPORT asked ChatGPT how he would fit into the Old Trafford squad if he joined, and this was its response:

Nathaniel Brown offers attacking thrust from LB; suits overlapping/full-back roles in a high-tempo Manchester United system

Comfortable inverting into midfield—fits modern build-up structures

Pace + crossing improve width and transitions

Versatility (LB/LM/CM) adds tactical flexibility

Needs physical development + aerial strength for Premier League
